Thisno reserve auction is for an empty original empty box for a Lionel 2348 Minneapolis & St. Louis GP9 Diesel Engine. Lionel produced the 2348 from 1958 - 1959. Again, this listing is for the empty box only. 2348 boxes don't appear on the market very often. This 2348-6 box is square and strong with all flaps intact. It had been opened at both ends at one time and there is kraft tape repair about it as can be seen in the photos. The seam tape is original and shows some scuffing along the edge. Manufactured by Star Corrugated Box Company. I don't believe that 2348 boxes came with an insert. This box does not have one. Please see the photos for more descriptive detail.
