This no reserve auction is for an original 314 Plate Girder Bridge in its original box. Lionel produced the 314 bridge during the postwar era from 1946 - 1950. This bridge has a semi-gloss gray paint with black rubber-stamped lettering that is 3/8" high. Features of this piece date it to circa 1948.This piece is in outstanding condition with very few noticeable contact marks. The smooth gray paint is the far better than most found today. Just a few minor contact marks keep it from being perfect. The original Art Deco Toy Logo Box is an absolute brick. All flaps are present and firmly attached. The original end inserts keep the bridge from moving around inside the box. These inserts are usually missing when 314 Bridges are found today. A nice 51148 inspection slip rounds out the package. Overall, a super nice piece that will be very difficult to improve upon! Please examine the enlargeable pictures closely for additional descriptive detail.Buyer pays $11.75 for S&H. Please note that I will gladly refund excess postage if the estimate provided is $1.00 or more above actual cost.If you would be interested in selling or consigning all or pieces of your collection please feel free to contact me to discuss.I have been a member of the TCA for 29 years so you can .
