Payment Original Lionel Black 3459 Automatic Dumping Ore Car w/ all Original Components Album Album AlbumYou are bidding on a Lionel Original 3459 Automatic Dumping Ore Car complete with all components (160 Bin, 207 Bag of Coal, 3451-27 instruction sheet dated 5/47) and its original box complete with liner. In addition there is also a factory inpection tag. This black version was cataloged by Lionel for two years only, 1947-1948. In 1949 the 3469 was introduced and ran through 1955.This car shows surprisingly light use considering its age. The black paint has held up remarkably well and is bright and shiny. There aren't even the ever present paint chips which are found on all examples of this car and are mainly found on the top edge of the dump tray, especially where it makes contact with the No. 160 dump bin. The white heat-stamped lettering is bold, clear, and complete and the frame and trucks look factory fresh without a hint of rust. The car has recently been cleaned and serviced and works perfectly.The original box shows most of the use for this offering. It does include its original liner which has helped protect the car and other components over the years.
