This no reserve auction is for an original Lionel 514 Box Car. Lionel produced the 514 from 1929 - 1940. This car has been around the layout several times. It features a cream yellow body, orange roof and door guides, brass plates with borders, trim, type II brakewheels, copper journals and no oil label. This variation matches the type B description in Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains, 1901 - 1942, Volume I, Standard and 2 7/8" Gauge by Bruce C. Greenbergs. One coupler needs replacement. All original trim is present except 2 copper journals. There are some nicks and surface rust on some of the bare metal parts. With a good cleaning and a few minor fixes this car will make an excellent runner for you. Please view the pictures for additional descriptive detail . Buyer pays $9.75 for S&H.
