I have for sale 2 original water colors measuring 24 inches by 19 inches from noted, famed and listed artist Etienne Ret.
Here is a little about the artist:
Etienne Ret, French (1900 - 1989)
Born in Bourbonnais, France on Jan. 6, 1900. Ret graduated from the College of Mesnieres and completed military service in 1924. He then began formal art training in Paris in the ateliers of Maurice Denis and Georges Desvallieres, and at Ecole des Beaux Arts and Ecole des Arts Décoratifs. His book of poetry, Blindmans Bluff, was a prize winner in 1929. Ret exhibited in London and Paris before settling down in Hollywood in 1934. Often known for his portrait and genre paintings, Etienne Ret was born in France and studied in Paris in the ateliers of Maurice Denis and Georges Desvallieres, and at Ecole des Beaux Arts and Ecole des Arts Décoratifs. Ret exhibited in London and Paris before settling in Hollywood CA in 1934. He remained active in the United States through the late 1950s and died in Europe in 1988. Born in France, Etienne (Perret) Ret studied art in Paris at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, under Maurice Denis and G. Desvaileres.
