Original Long-Run (Western Auto) 5 gallon Rocker Oil Can. This is an original Long-Run 5-gallon rocker oil can by Western Auto Supply Co. These type oil cans were used in the 1920's and 1930's and are very collectible. This can shows a patent date of May 10, 1927 , and it looks like another date possibly of 24-5-28 , St. Louis Can Co. around the can. It also looks like the cap and pouring lip are original. This can is in fair condition for its age and I have tried to show all rust in pictures. Measures a little over 14" in diameter, and weighs about 6-1/2 lbs. It weighs approximately 6-1/2 lbs. unpackaged, and I have added in 2 lbs. for packaging. I do not package until an item sells. I also add $5.00 for packing materials. If actual shipping is significantly less than I charged, I will refund the difference, after I have taken the item to the post office to be mailed. As courtesy, I shall expect your acknowledgment of the receipt of my invoice within 3 days from sale date, along with info rmation about how payment will be made and when.
