Up for sale is an extremely rare offering of an original published piece of art by Scottish artist Marcus Gray...an inked splash page as published in his erotic comic "Emily's Secret". This image was used as a chapter heading, page 22 (chapter 4), entitled "The Ruby Necklace". The image size is approximately 5" x 10" and is on 12" x 16" textured art paper and is signed and dated (2003) by the artist!. It is in perfect condition with no damage and comes with a certificate of authenticity from the artist. Purchased directly from Marcus several years ago. Sorry that the scan and photos shown don't do justice to this wonderful piece. Born in 1971 in Glasgow, Scotland, Marcus Gray was brought up on a rich diet of Sci-fi TV, films and comics. Self taught, his first proper paintings were with the airbrush in commercial art and he also worked as a graphic designer for several years. A turning point came in 1992. Whilst browsing a bookshop, he discovered the work of Alphonse Mucha. Inspired by Mucha, he started his first "girlie" pictures and quickly established a "retro futuristic" style of his own. His work has been published in several fetish magazines, including Skin Two. He also writes and draws his own erotic comics. Very awesome! Please see my other auction for another original Marcus Gray splash page from Emily's Secret! Priority Mail shipping for this auction is FREE in the USA; and insurance is INCLUDED (foreign shipping charge as calculated...if you also win my other Marcus Gray original I'm auctioning, it will ship at no additional charge!). Will be packaged flat and secure for safe shipping! You will love this great artwork! Please email me if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
