Presented, without reserve, is a 13 3/4" by 11" mixed media character study -- pen and ink and watercolor. Original Illustrator Art. On heavy paper. Dated '96 and signed Bob Addams. The paper was obviously cut down from an earlier pen and ink work (see photo of the back below). Sun darkening of paper upper and lower sections. Paper damage upper left corner and lower right corner could be covered with matting. Tear left side. Slightly soiled. One thumb tack hole. Bob Addams was a 19th and early 20th century illustrator published in Life, Judge Magazine, Philadelphia Sunday Press, and many other publications. He is listed in the February 25, 1912, New York Times as exhibiting with many of the top illustrators of the time including James Montgomery Flagg, Rose O'Neill, Charles Allan Gilbert, and A. G. Peck. The only recent sales of his work that I could find was by Heritage Auction Galleries in their May 2005 Fine Art Auction. He has many pieces listed as being in the San Francisco Academy of Comic Art Collections. Save money on shipping with multiple purchases. Check out my other items ! Priority mail is $4.80 for the continental US for 1 pound or less. Insurance required for purchases over $25.00. I cannot be responsible for uninsured items once they leave my possession . Insurance is: $1.70 for $1.00 -- $50.00 merchandise value $2.15 for $50.01 -- $100. $2.60 for $100.01 -- $200. $4.60 for $200.01 -- $300. Add 95 cents per hundred or fraction tof above $300. I DO NOT charge a handling fee. USPS provides the boxes and supplies and the difference between Priority Mail and Parcel Post is far less than the cost of supplies. Items will generally ship within one day, but at most, two working days of cleared payment (i.e. a payment received on Thursday may not ship until Monday). SHIPPING AND DETAILS -- OVERSEAS Please use the eBay calculator or write for rates. PayPal required for overseas transactions. A $3.00 handling fee is charged on overseas transactions to cover additional paperwork and packaging costs. This fee will be assessed only once in the case of multiple purchases. Overseas Priority Mail has an innt insurance based on weight and additional insurance can be purchased. Most other shipping options do not include insurance. Responsibility for an uninsured package will transfer to the buyer at the time I deliver the package to the Post Office. Customs declarations will be the price you paid.
