This is a 1955 Porsche Mille Miglia auto racing poster. This poster is in great shape. I picked it up with a few other posters from Europe dating to the late 40's early 50s. I believe they came from some folks who lived in Europe after WWII. This one measures approx. 16 1/4 by 23 1/4. It has been rolled up for decades. The rectangle brown marks were weights I used to keep it flat while photographing. In the lower corner it says printed in Germany . This will look great framed for the Porsche and or road racing fanI am re-listing this item after ending the sale early this evening. I mistakenly listed this item requiring any bidder to have a Paypal account before they could bid. I could only eliminate that requirement by re-listing. I also received a large number of questions so I have tried to address them as follows: Is it an original? Based on what I can gather, yes. I obtained this from a friend who was going through his deceased father's things this past summer. It was rolled up in a cardboard tube with a Moulin Rouge / Lena Horn poster dated 1956; a Folies-Bergere poster dated 1949; and several French restaurant menus from the early 1950s. It is my understanding that his dad was in Europe , perhaps in the service, around this time (c.1950). All the tubes contents appear to be originals and were never mounted that I can tell. read more
