Fabulous original framed oil on canvas of a modernist tree study, unsigned but companion piece to the other one signed by artist Mary Godwin which was up for sale earlier this evening, and with name (or signature?) written to reverse. Superb picture. Frame measures a little under 22 and a half by 15 and a half inches approx. It's a beautiful and hugely skilled and evocative image. Some chips and rubs to frame but structurally fine and ready to hang. Picture in excellent condition for age. Picture is not dated but appears to have some age (possibly done in the 1950s?) and I wonder if it has been re-stretched at a later date. Artist's name (or signature, not sure which) to reverse. Also have another, similar, one of these, also up for sale tonight, which would make a fabulous 'companion' picture to this. and another stunning winter scene that is worth checking out.Paypal only please (within 3 days).
