This might be a Small New England Primitive Folk Art Decorative Crock but it has a lot of detail painted on it! The size is 3-1/4" Tall, by 3-3/4" Across, by 11-1/2" Around at it's widest. The scene shows a New England Village complete with a White Salt Box House with an American Flag Bunting on the roof and shrubs, a Bee Skep on a Table and a White Picket Fence in the front of the House. There is an Apple Tree on one side of the House and an Oak on the other side. Beside that is a Red School House with a Sign over the front door, a Welcome Sign out front, a White Picket Fence, an Apple Tree and an American Flag on a Flag Pole. The Barn is painted Nutmeg Brown with a Red Sign over the Barn Doors with the date, 1887. There is a Quilt covered Sheep next to a Green Farm Wagon filled with Hay. A Red Maple Tree sits next to the front Porch of the Yellow Farm House. A Sheep is out grazing in the Field out front and a sprinkle of small Prim Black Stars dot the sky. With the soft Antiquing and distressing, this signed and dated Crock that I just finished is sure to make a great addition to Your Home and Your Primitive Folk Art Collection. Thanks for stopping by!
