WELCOME FRIENDS! Painting Size and Description: This is an Original Acrylic painting on a 11 in.x14in.x1.5inch Artist Quality stretched canvas. The sides do NOT have staples. Very Nice, thick Gallery wrapped Canvas . The sides are One and One Half inches thick and are also painted the same tones as the front view with the Halloween Scene wrapping around the edges so that a Frame is NOT needed for hanging. A gathering of Trick or Treaters in the soft glow of a Birch Tree forest. Enchanting. Painted with a flat brush in layers to give depth. Some Texture in the painting. High Quality Acrylic Paints Used. Photographed in natural light to bring out true colors intensely . I am the Original artist and have signed my name, Lizzy, in the lower left section of this painting. The backside of this canvas will also be Titled, signed with my full name, Lizzy Rainey, and dated 2013. This painting will also be sealed with a light clear varnish for protection. ABOUT THE ARTIST I'm Lizzy Rainey a self-taught artist located in beautiful Lafayette, Indiana in the Wabash River Valley. I have always loved to paint but began an intense passion for my art to lift my spirits after I lost my mother in 2004. One of my most cherished accomplishments was an online art auction held in October of 2005 to raise funds for my 5 year old nephew's heart transplant. He's 11 now, doing great, and can be followed up on my website at along with my artwork. Many artists were excited to be involved in the Art for a Heart auction, even the fabulous Thomas Kinkaid. In the year 2008 I was honored to be named one of the Lt. Governor's Hoosier Women Artists. My painting of Indiana's Red Forest Reflection hung in the Statehouse and gift cards had been created from the painting to be passed out to visiting Dignitaries. The Medical magazine titled "The American Society of Radiologic Technologists" Published my work on the cover of their 2008 September/October issue. In 2009 I was Honored to be Purdue Universities 2009 Choice Artist for painting their Dog Statue that now resides in their School of Veterinary Medicine's Library in honor of the School's 50th Anniversary. My Dog's Title is "Give a Dog a Bone. An X-Ray View" Also in, 2009, I created artwork for Lafayette, Indiana's new Hospital, St. Elizabeth East. I may be working on more artwork for the new Hospital. 2011, I have been chosen as one of Lt Governor Becky Skillman's Hoosier Women Artists where My painting of Lafayette, Indiana's Historical Ninth Street Mansion is featured and will hang in the Statehouse.
