Up for sale is a large signed PETER OMPIR round lidded tole tin. The main color is warm amber accented with his unmistakeable glazing. The painted peaches are vibrant orange-red, and the branches are brown with variegated green leaves. It is a lovely colorful piece.I do not know how to date this particular piece, but is much larger than most pieces I have seen or owned. (Not sure if his larger pieces were earlier?) It is in very good, to excellent condition and have tried to show the very few tiny flea bites (of paint) on the rim. On the bottom rim t is a slight bend (hardly noticeable) about 1". Think it was t prior to tin being painted as paint is in perfect condition. The inside is matte green paint and has a slight waxy scent. Back is painted a more vibrant green in a glossy finish. His signature is just below an embossed "H" as shown and is very clear.Measurements: Circumfrence: 31 3/4"Height: 2 1/4"Diameter: 10 1/4"This is an especially nice piece of signed Peter Ompir.
