Today I have up for auction this original plate from a Petter Patent Oil Engine. The plate is made from a metal, possibly brass/steel. I have held a magnet to it, but it does not stick 11cm x 7cm x 0.2cm curved with two holes for fixing to the engine " Petter Patent Oil Engine s Type.No.204189 B.H.P. 12/14. R.P.M. 525. Yeovil England" Original, uncleaned condition, item belonged to my grandfather who was a railway enthusiast, though I do not think this has any connection with railways.Perhaps you know more? Hard to date poss 1950's? could be earlier, sorry I can't help here. I use 2nd class postage, with re-cycled packaging to help keep costs low. I always get a certificate of posting, and am happy to post abroad with appropriate insurance. Thank you for having a look today.
