This is a Remington made Pattern 1913 sword bayonet produced for the British Pattern 14 .303 service rifle. The rifle was manufactured by Remington, Eddystone, and Winchester. This bayonet will also fit the U.S. Model 1917 .30-06 service rifle. This large bayonet has a 17" blade and is complete with its scabbard. The scabbard is leather with black painted metal caps on each end. The handles are wood with two grooves on each panel. The blade is stamped 1913, 4 16, and Remington on one side. It has British proofs on the other side. T is no U.S. stamping or ordnance bomb present. The blade is very good with just some abrasion from rough cleaning on the lower end near the tip. T are a few minor nicks on the lower edge, but the blade retains much of its original finish. The leather on the scabbard is solid and completely intact. The metal retains about 70% of the original paint. Domestic shipping for this item is $10 for insured UPS. Worldwide shipping is $25 via USPS Parcel Post.
