this might be the truly neat looking poster to add to anyone's collection and should have great resale value when you are done collecting or pass this on, i have seen other posters ,not as cool , listed currently, not even this neat ,for the asking price over 1000 dollars ,mine is less than that by nearly half ,very original u s navy poster looks like a motivational work poster either way i have not seen many ,if any ,i cant even remember seeing one like this ,even as a replica, probably because of the wording attributed to admiral nimitz.i dont know for sure but if you collect these, this might be the one you want.i dont know much about these things except from watching antiques roadshow,so here i go sounding like one of their guys ,but this poster needs restoration ,it has fold issues where the poster was folded long ago,also could use flat press under glass with acid free paper and there are tears that need to be restored,that being said with restoration this poster might be worth thousands.i took pictures of the areas that need attention,including a tear at the fold ,but tell me what original item from world war 2 would be in super great shape if it is the original item.the size in 38 x 32 inches.it has been stored this way in plastic on cardboard for 25 years.this one should be your christmas gift to yourself ,i will ship in a tube or you can pick up if you want . if the pictures look shinny it is because of the plastic covering the poster.dont let this pass i am getting bugged to donate this. I find junk and sell it with the hope one persons junk is another mans treasure.please look hard at my feedback as a seller and or buyer thats that is a good way to see if you are dealing with someone who is satisfying the buyer.I think you will see that my rating and my honesty of describing item have met other buyers satisfaction. please take into account shipping handling peanuts and bubble wrap and the box or tubes used to ship item will add to the cost .also ins should you desire.when a flat rate shipping is used it does not apply to texas, alaska, and hawaii because that costs much more to send also ,though i try not to ship outside usa ,if a bidder wins from outside usa ,the shipping charge will not be the usa flat rate.shipping outside the usa will have to be calculated and I will send invoice.also the u s post office is talking about cutting back one day each week for delivery,please take that in account if and when it happens.I generally get items out within 4 to 6 days after I receive payment,I ship delivery confirmation and I usually add that into handling fee 95 cents.that way I can get you a tracking number ,so you can keep tabs on where the post office is shipping your package.on expensive items or items you want ,I will insure it for you ,but you need to add a note when paying by pay pal or contact me prior to me shipping item,usually it is better to add note to special instructions box when paying by pay pal.
