After 50 years of collecting I've decided to sell a few thing for room and to finance other collecting priorities. This listing is an excellent and scarce example of a pre-1939 Czech officer's uniform. The group contains the following: (1) Original tunic with all insignia. The jacket has white/cream colored collar tabs and white piped shoulder boards. The pips on the boards are heavy wire bullion type. There are four on each board. The tunic itself is tailor made with a Prague label on the inside pocket. There are about four small worn holes at the bottom of the right pocket. These were not made by moths - looks like it may have caught on something at one time but they do not detract from the smartness of this otherwise excellent uniform coat. The buttons are all brass and there is a 1914-1918 service medal on the tunic. (2) Original custom made trousers that go with the above jacket. The trousers are in excellent condition with no holes or blemishes that I can see. All stitching and binding are tight. (3) Original brocade (fabric and wire) belt with brass buckle. Both are in excellent condition The Czech Army of the time was known for its smartness and professionalism. The quality, cut and presentation of this officers uniform is a great example of that. It is the great failure of twentieth century democracy that the "powers of the day" sold the Czechs (and their army) down the river in the Munich Pact. I've found any pre-war Czech uniforms to be extremely scarce and difficult to find. You'll not be disappointed with this fine example. I accept Please feel free to ask any questions.
