Schwinn Corvette 3 speed middleweight RED

Up for auction is this outstanding example of a classic middleweight Schwinn girls / ladies Corvette bicycle. This bike is a 1958 version and for its age is in excellent condition. The chrome fenders show little to no rust. The rest of the chrome surfaces show surface rust and minor peppering. Overall though, the bike polishes up to a brilliant shine. Somew along the line the original seat was replaced with a quality "Person" crash bar seat. Just some of the highlights are the Weinmann red dot breaks, the front spring-loaded carrying cage and the Sturmey Archer (fully functional) three speed features. The bike comes with a nice set of Schwinn Westwind white side wall tires. They seem to have a good deal of service left in them as the tread is only slightly worn and they've been holding air for the past week. The measurement of the center tube from the seat post opening to the middle of sprocket is 18 &1/2". My wife took the bike for a short ride and reported it to be in good working order. The bike tracked true and all parts are securely fastened, making for a nice quiet and comfortable r ide.
