Very nice, very rare Scottish officer's doublet for a Gordon Highlanders Volunteer/Territorial battalion ca. 1910. This jacket is for the DOUBLET ONLY, please see other auctions for accoutrements and sporran. Red doeskin doublet with yellow facings is in excellent condition with some bery minor staining. Lining is in excellent condition with normal wear commiserate with age. Silvered Gordon buttons, Silver thistle lace with black line, Silver epaulettes with 2 pips denoting rank of Captain at this time. Small size jacket as is most jackets from 100 years ago. So please do not ask for dimensions, these are collectibles. A VERY RARE doublet that in my 15 years of collecting Scottish stuff has been the only one I have come across.
