This is the original MISSPELLED Dedication program for SEVERANCE HALL DATED THIRTEENTH SEASON 1930 - 1931 It seems The Piccolos player Amello Pagano Pointed this out to upper management and corrected the spelling on the March Seventeenth program by pencil. The February Dedication Program & March Program has SEBERANCE HALL The Correct spelling SEVERANCE as in JOHN L SEVERANCE. I'm sure this was the talk of the town in 1930. and a total embarrassment for the Cleveland Orchestra as John L Severance gave them the building. This auction is for the original Dedication program PLUS: the last program of the MASONIC HALL program JANUARY and the MARCH program that Emil Pagano pointed out the spelling error on the cover PLUS: a October program that has the correct spelling. This was the personal programs of Amello Pagano who played Piccolos for the Cleveland Orchestra and there are some other marks and personal comments he made in a couple of the programs He also left a small flyer from the SEVERANCE HALL THE MUSICAL ARTS ASSOCIATION and a TAXICAB SERVICE SEVERANCE HALL Information ticket inside a program from 1930's ALL 4 PROGRAMS & INSERTS INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION For those of you who want to know who the featured Soloist are they include EDITHA FLEISCHER, Soprano, GREGOR PIATIGORSKY, Violoncello JOSEF FUCHS, Violin Problems & Condition
