This is an Original Silver Gelatin Photo of an African American male and female in the 1960's. We are attributing this work to the famous black photographer James Van Der Zee. This photograph is 100% original from the original plate and not a reprint. It is printed on heavy paper and is a sharp image of high quality. It is unsigned, however it comes from the estate of a former NY fashion magazine editor from which we have sold many photos by famous photographers Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Horst P. Horst.

This photo is approx 14" x 17". T are some creases in each of the four corners but is in otherwise overall good condition.

Payment

Payment is expected with 7 business days of the end of the auction. Paypal is the preferred method of payment. Wire transfer is the preferred method for our larger ticket items.

Shipping

Items are shipped within 7 business days of the close of the auction. Items within the U.S are shipped via Fed Ex or USPS. Items over $100 must be insured and indirect signature is required. Items over $500 require a direct signature. Items less than $100 will be sent with no signature required unless buyer request we obtain a signature. International orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Priority is the only online trackable and insureable method to ship and some countries do not allow a cheaper method., ALL INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS MUST OBTAIN A SHIPPING QUOTE PRIOR TO BIDDING All shipping quoted includes a packaging fee. Upon shipment of your item you will recieve an e-mail with your items tracking#.

Returns Our items are FINAL SALE . All returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges are NON REFUNDABLE on any return. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer

Damaged in shipment We take care in packaging our items, but sometimes accidents in shipment do occur. This is why we require insurance. Should you find that your item was recieved damaged please IMMEDIATELY contact us. DO NOT THROW OUT ANY OF THE PACKAGING ,Once we are contacted we will immediately file an insurance claim with the carrier. It is quite possible that the item will either need to be taken to your local post office (if shipped USPS) for inspection or a representative of Fed Ex will need to arrange a time to inspect the damage. You will be compensated BY THE CARRIER for the damaged goods. The carrier will either reimburse you for the cost of repairs (you may be required to provide an estimate for the repairs), or give you the full cost of the item ( in this case they will most likely take possession of the damaged goods).
