This is a basket by long ago deceased Lizzie Proper....the last of the taghkanic basket makers...she was part of a group of people that made baskets called the Bushwackers...these baskets are so hard to find....I purchased this basked many years ago....it is signed by Liz and the basket was purchased near where she lived...her work was more sloppy that her peers...she made them to support herself and her daughter...She was the last know basket maker to these people....you won't find her baskets very often...this one has no breaks that I can see...if there is any..it would have to be so minor....there is a small slightly darked area in the inside center....did not ever notice it until I decided to list....look at the pictures carefully as they are a large part of the description. I have other baskets that I will be listing next week....so check back...Ship to US only....paypal for your convenience. I am listing this basket at a mere percentage of what I paid...these oval two handled baskets are VERY hard to find.
