Rare Original Ted DeGrazia Large Signed Pottery Dish Ted (Ettore) DeGrazia (1909 – 1982) Original Signed Large Pottery Dish This is a remarkable find. Up for your consideration is this rare original signed dish made by renowned Arizona artist Ted DeGrazia. Born in the mining town of Morenci, Arizona, Ted DeGrazia became one of Arizona's most prominent painters, illustrators, and graphic artists, resulting in his studio gallery being listed on the National Register of Historic Places. He lived most of his life near Tucson, and worked in his studio, open to the public, that he called "The Gallery of the Sun." His signature work is paintings and illustrations of 'angel-like' Southwest children, many of them Indian and Hispanic. This is a large dish, measuring 12.5” length, by 5.5” wide. It is heavily glazed with Mr. DeGrazia’s trademark turquoise color, and is signed on the bottom. Condition: Overall t is no crazing, except at the bottom w it is glazed the heaviest (see pics). T is one small fleabite on the top. This does not detract from the piece but is mentioned for complete accuracy. I have tried to photograph this piece from all angles. Overall this is a stunning piece! Will start the bidding at $9.95, with a very fair reserve. Winner pays postage. The dish will be packed very carefully.
