We are offering without reserve a Tsuchiya Koitsu (1879-1949) Japanese woodblock print of a snow covered scene with figures, a bridge, and landscape, entitled, "Maruyama Park In The Snow, c1936. The print is in very good vintage condition. The colors are vibrant with a minimum of fading and oxidation. The sheet is flat and supple with normal toning associated with age and some small areas of very soft and slight folds visible from the rear not apparent from the front. The oban print is loose and the four margins of the border are about 3/8" wide and the print is approximately 16" x 10 7/8". Tsuchiya Koitsu is a highly regarded Japanese artist and his work has long been admired, exhibited, and collected the world over. The woodblock has been in storage for at least ten years and comes from our personal collection.
