Authentic, original USGS Topographic Map New York Lake Placid Sheet, Edition of Sept. 1898, reprinted 1932, polyconic projection Measures 16 1/2"w x 20"h. In excellent condition with one light fold along bottom margin, light fold in middle, light tanning to a couple of edges, corners.. all else fine!! Gorgeous colors, will make a beautiful display.. Text on top left: Department of the Interior, US Geological Survey, Middle: State of New York Represented by the Department of Public Works Points of interest: Lake Placid, North Elba, Keene, Sentinel Range to the south, West Branch Ausable River, St. Armand, Wilmington, Wilmington Mountain, Black Brook, Taylor Pond, Saranac River, Franklin, Clinton and Essex County Lines, East Branch Ausable River, Rattlesnake Knob, Ebenezer Mt, Mirror Lake, Connery Pond, Big & Little Cherrypatch Ponds, among many others..
