This is the complete manuscript of an 1892 school project by pupils in Fyfield. It's called 'Schoolroom Magazine' and consists mostly of stories probably made up by the children + puzzles and titbits of local events. There are ten notebooks in all - nine monthly ones starting in January and a 'Summer Number'. The monthly ones peter out after a total of 158 pages and the Summer one is 25 pp. There are c24 ink and wash drawings pasted in (one or two are loose but all are present) the majority quite competent but even the cruder ones have their charm. A couple of covers are missing and one has come loose but the majority of the original decorative ribbons on the spine are still in place. See photos for general condition. A unique item and surely a must for someone in the Fyfield (N. Berks) area. I love the way the writing gets fainter as the ink in the pen runs out! Payment by Paypal please.
