Original, Victorian era Glass Paperweight Advertising - MALTINE - (Maltine, an Extract of Malted Barley Wheat and Oats was a cough medicine touted as curing problems of the lungs, coughs and colds and other similar problems - The Maltine Manufacturing Company, was in New York. circa 1880's ) Paperweight is worded around pictorial centre 'Maltine Is a Pure Uniform And Stable Extract - Malted Barley Wheat & Oats' *P.N..... The underside is part chipped ( now filed and smoothed to the touch ) also shows the original paint and paper backing, as the original protective covering is missing ( possibly leather) this could be re-placed ? - size of paperweight is 7.5 cms in circ - Even with small damage this is still a collectable item - for any further info, please email.
