An original vintage black and white photograph done by famed photographer ALFRED EISENSTAEDT. Eisenstaedt known as "the father of photojournalism", was born in 1898 and died in 1995. His VJ Day in Times Square on August 15, 1945, is among his most recognizible pictures. The image we have for sale is 8" X 12" printed on larger paper from the original negative, by Eisenstaedt. Mounted in an acid free matte (not glued or hot pressed) in a simple black frame under glass. The frame size is 17" X 20 1/2". In excellent condition, no folds cracks or damage. The reverse side of the photo paper has the Eisensteadt name stamp attached and a brief description about the photograph, written by hand, in blue ink. We do not know if this was written by Eisenstaedt himself. No Paypal on this item.
