Condition: Excellent (bright vivid colors; tiny needle holes in corners); Dimensions: 20 ½ x 31 1/8 in. / 52 x 79 cm.; Circa: 1960 Up for auction is this original " M.E.A. - GERMANY " stone lithograph poster signed in the plated by its artist JACQUES AURIAC , and printed by Ets de la Vasselais, Paris . As indicated above, this poster is in excellent condition with bright colors and tiny needle holes in all four corners. Please examine all pictures carefully. Middle Eastern Airlines ("M.E.A.") was founded in 1945 in Beirut, Lebanon. British Overseas Airways Corporation ("BOAC") was affiliated with M.E.A. from 1949 until 1961. A merger with Air Liban in 1963 gave Air France a 305 holding stake in M.E.A., which has since been relinquished. Initially M.E.A.'s destinations included Syria, Cyprus, and Egypt. Beginning circa 1960, M.E.A. expanded its routes to destinations worldwide. Its early aircraft included the Comet 4 and the Caravelle.
