Cleaning out my parts bins , accumulation of 40 years. Lionel O and Standard Gauge parts. This lot is an original motor with e-unit and light bracket for the pre war 616 flying yankee locomotive. It does not have the pick up slider, but I jumped the motor with transformer wires and found that the motor is not burnt out, it runs. I could only get it to run in one direction and think that the e unit would need a rebuild. This will need, as most do, a cleaning of the motor and reverse unit and a re-wire as it looks like it is original with no servicing for many years and the wires have a tendency to dry out. .Wheels look fine and do not appear crazed or cracked.
