This is an Original US WWII Commando L-77 single edged Stilleto. This knife is very rare in this condition. It is marked on the ricasso, Western. It has a Bright 6 7/8" blade. This stilleto is in excellent condition. The pommel and guard are orange bakelite and remain tight with no cracking. The leather stacked washer grip is tight and in excellent condition. The scabbard is very special. This scabbard is the ultra rare military scabbard western issued with only a few of these knives. As you can see this is a knife for the collector who demands the best. Many of these were used by US Marines, Army Paratroopers and other elite troops. These are really rare in this condition. If you look at the photo of this knife on page 235 of Mike Silvey's great book on US WWII knives, you will recognize that it is the exact same knife. This knife was bought from Mike and is now offered T is no rust anyw on this stiletto. I offer this knife only once.
