The subject matter is mostly baseball with some nice boxing thrown in. These are almost all 1st Generation Type One photographs. A large portion of these are UPI wire and Press Photos
put together by somebody working in a United Press International New York area office. He focused primarily on the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees and Giants, but there is a good assortment of stars from other teams as well. These date from the early 1940s to 1960, with a few earlier.
All of these are from the same day of release,
most have dated captions attached on reverse.
