Original French Foreign Legion fatigue uniform, ca. WWI-1920s. Crafted of medium-coarse French linen, this set consists of the issue shirt, trousers, and distinctive blue Foreign Legion sash (this last is not included in our photos). The blouse and trousers match perfectly in fabric, wear, and condition, and both are in a large size. Chest measures 44 inches under the armpits, while the waist measures 36 inches. The shirt features a standing collar; two-button fly front; a single buttoned chest pocket; and buttoned cuffs. Trousers feature a 1 ¾" waistband complete with suspender buttons and two-button closure; button fly; buckled waist adjustment belt in rear; and two vertical pockets at side-seams. T are two French depot inkstamps on the trousers' interior, but they are faded, and I cannot make them out. Buttons on both garments are a mix of plain bone types, as well as stamped metal "Equipments Militaires" varieties. Condition of both pieces, overall, is excellent. The shirt bears two tiny, abraded holes in the chest (near-imperceptible), as well as some minor rust staining at the skirt bottom, front. Trousers also exhibit some minor stained areas (hey, these are fatigue trousers, after all!), but no tears, repairs, or other obvious, unmentioned damage. The distinctive blue Foreign Legion sash is also of linen, measures approximately read more
