Here is a nice original WWI British-made Mark I Brodie helmet, complete with its original liner. The front and top of the helmet bear two black painted 81st Division insignia. The finish shows evidence typical of field use, with the expected dings, scrapes and small dents. The early-style (without rubber ring) liner is in good condition, with the red Brodie's patent stamp on the underside. The chinstrap is absent, though the paper instruction tag remains. The felt padding is in good condition, with a few small moth nips here and there. The underside of the brim is stamped D/A 94, and there is about a 2 inch section of the rim edging that has separated a bit.
