Original WWII US A-2 Jacket - size 46 - The Flying 8-balls 's a superb example of a WWII US A-2 leather flight jacket, with an original Squadron patch from one of WWII's most famous squadrons. The leather is horsehide and is in excellent condition - I DO know what dry rot is, and I can assure you that it does not have it. The jacket is 100% original, with NOTHING REPLACED, nothing repaired, and all stitching tight. The leather is buttery soft, with no thin areas. All pop-snaps are intact and functioning (it has been stored without the zipper or pop-snaps done up). The triple-marked Conmar zipper is perfect, runs perfectly from top to bottom - no missing teeth. The spec and size tags are perfectly legible. The lining has rubbed through at two spots around the neck (see photos), but the rest is clean and intact. The knits are original and show minimal wear as seen in the photos.
