You are bidding on an original, large and heavy WWII German Luftwaffe Cockpit Clock made by Kienzle in excellent working condition . The clock is approximately 3 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" deep and weights about 1 lb and 2 oz.. The bezel as well as the mounting ring on the back are made out of brass. It seems to be an early WWII type clock. The clock has a black face with the sub-seconds near the top beneath the 12. On the black dial, it shows Kienzle , the manufacturer, as well as 8 Tage (8 days) and FL22602 , all in white letters. Underneath the FL number it has a serial number : 15698 . The lens of the clock is glass and is convex (curved). Please look at the pictures for condition and details. The last picture shows the size of the clock when compared to an American $ as well as the back, the brass mounting ring and the seemingly-handmade leather gasket that came with it. Please note: It was not easy taking pictures of the front because of the glare. The glass has virtually no scratches and the dial is in very nice condition. The clock is wound by turning the brass bezel around the dial in a clockwise direction; the time is set by pushing the lever on the left towards the top and again turning the bezel, this time in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. Please note: I am now also selling WWII items on using the same user ID, pwittsch . I will still sell other non-WWII items on Ebay.Shipping charges are for US only; other countries, please inquire by email. Payment method for countries other than US is PayPal only.
