This auction is for an EXTREMELY RARE HARD- TO -FIND ORIGINAL WWII M43 German Sentry Greatcoat Overcoat! Probably manufactured in 1943. This has MANY field repairs and patches! This style was reserved mostly for Elite XX troops and other Heer Soldaten who served on the Eastern Front! Light Gray Blanket Lining that has been repaired at some point in its history, probably in a Prisoner of War Camp. It is a Very Large Size, one of the largest greatcoats I have ever handled. I am 5'5" and a 40/42 Chest and the coat nearly touches the ground and is probably a size 48 Chest. Some staining and obvious use and wear from its roughly 68 Years of Age, but solid and in great usable condition. Approximately 98% of damage was repaired. All buttons present except for shoulder board buttons, but shoulder board loops are present! One button appears to be a larger, smooth finish replacement. Collar buttons and hook and eye clasps present. 2 Hip pockets and 2 slash pockets plus one interior pocket in the blanket lining. No holes, some repairs. A beautiful coat and a collector's dream! These combat Over Coats are getting increasingly difficult to find and this particular coat has a VERY desirable blanket lining. Don't miss out on this RARE relic of the Russian Front! Coat is guaranteed to be of authentic Third Reich PRE 1945 production. The photos do not do this greatcoat Justice!
Coat Measurements as follows: Top of Collar to bottom of coat is about 54" in length . Shoulder to Shoulder = 19 1/2". Armpit to Armpit = about 24". Neck = about 21" around Chest = about 47" to 48".
