Original WWII Japanese Meatball flag signed Pacific

Thius is an original Japanese meatball flag captured by US soldiers in the western Pacific -- most likely Marines. The flag is 26 inches by 38 inches and is signed by 24 soldiers. T is also some Japanese characters at the center top -- I do not know what they signify. The top corners retain the Gold paper corners with original silk ties. The flag is in really good shape as t are no rips, tears or holes in it. The bottom corners have some slight fraying. I will list the signatures of the signers in hopes that a relative/family member may see this. I have not tried to contact any family of the signers.
