We just acquired some amazing pieces from the estate of Eva Flynn, most recently from the Pacific northwest, but previously from Thousand Oaks, Ca. For sale is this Original Vintage Pen & Ink Drawing by Leonore Knight, 1940's Political Cartoonist Los Angeles Herald Express. Sleeping Uncle Sam "U.S" captioned, "While We Sleep, The Flood of Immigration". Complete caption: "W the mad mob rules, Liberty runs mad, and justice dies". "While We Sleep, The Flood of Immigration". This original drawing is said to have appeared in the newspaper with the caption "While We Sleep, The Flood of Immigration". The family of the estate said that Leonore Knight was a political cartoonist for the Los Angeles Herald Express in the 1940's. I do not know any more than that. I have tried to research, but have had no luck. I will add to the description as I gather more info! This piece is 14 1/2" x 12" and is in fair condition with foxing and tears. Signed by artist lower right. Really interesting piece of a collection I have acquired. See others I have on right now also! Please have your item paid for within a week! Since grading and describing items can be subjective, please form your own opinion about an item - I can email you the pics and answer any questions! If you want the item shipped overseas please note: you must pay with US dollars via paypal, cash or money order, you might want to consider insurance - I do not refund lost/damaged packages, I won't lie on the customs form - the price you pay is the amount I put on the customs form!!
