This is an ORIGINAL, WORLD WAR II, cut edge,THEATER MADE, BLACK BACK (most likely British or German Made), UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCE U.S. TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE Uniform Insignia PATCH. This insignia patch was meant to be worn by CIVILIAN Technical Personnel that instructed and consulted with ARMY AIR FORCE PILOTS, Technicians, Mechanics, Administrators, etc. This insignia was to be worn on standard military uniforms by the civilian AAF technical rep's when they were on ARMY AIR FIELDS and especially when they were OVERSEAS in COMBAT THEATERS of WAR.
