Here is an original WWII UTICA M4 bayonet and its original U.S. M8A1 B.M. CO scabbard. The bayonet is in good used condition overall. The blade has been sharpened at some point. The blade, guard and latch plate have a good amount original parkerizing remaining with light cleaned oxidation throughout. The blade has some wear to its finish at the grind lines and around the tip. There is also some speckling of cleaned oxidation on the blade. The guard and latch plate are tight, and the latch plate has its correct peen, and its mechanism works. The leather handle is tight and crack free, but it has some darkening, light wear and some added numbers lightly scratched into one side of the handle near the guard, possibly a soldiers service number? The scabbard body has a lot of wear to areas of its original green paint, and the throat metal has heavy cleaned oxidation with some parkerizing intact. However, the body is crack and chip free. The hardware has finish wear. T he strap snap is intact and works. The bayonet measures 11 1/2" overall with a 6 5/8" blade. -No Reserve- -The bayonet will not be put back in its scabbard, so there will be no additional scratches to the blade.-This item will be shipped in a box and carefully packaged.*********************************** I combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please wait for an invoice
