ORIGINAL WW2 WWII JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER'S OFFICERS SAMURAI SWORD WITH A SIGNED TANG AND LEATHER SAYA WITH ORIGINAL KANJI SCRIBED SURRENDER BAG - BEAUTIFUL POLISH AND TEMPERLINE - VET PICKUP - NO RESERVE

This is a beautiful veteran acquired original WW2 WWII era Japanese Army Officer's samurai sword and original leather saya with original surrender bag. The surrender bag has the owner's name in English and has Kanji writing in several places (see photographs). The owner put his name on the bag to one day get his sword back. The sword is in very good condition. Blade polish is excellent, no nicks, no bends just two areas near tip with minor marring. Wavy temperline clearly visable throughout the blade. Swordsmith's name signed on tang. Leather covered combat saya scabbard in very good condition, leather is still somewhat soft and supple. Handle and wrapping in good condition. Rigs in this condition and with original surrender bag are getting very hard to find so DO NOT let this go. Mounts, Tsuba and handle are as shown. Everything fits tight and right. Measurements are 26 1/2" from tsuba to blade tip, 26" cutting edge, end of handle to blade tip 36 1/4", and 38" in leather saya scabbard. The bag is 51 3/4" long.
