For sale is a lightly used Original Zassenhaus Mokka coffee grinder or mill. It was made in Germany. It is a model 156 and is black laquered. It has very beautiful knee mill styling. This item delivers on both form and function. The main body is constructed of hardwood, as is the ergonomic ball mounted at the end of the crank. The top is chromed steel as is the crank. A door on top opens to reveal a white enameled enclosed hopper with no chips in the finish. It will hold enough beans for one average French press. The catch drawer is held firmly in place by two small leaf springs and is finger jointed. These features are indicative of the excellent craftsmanship displayed in this grinder. The conical grinding burrs are made of machined hardened steel. One of the most important aspects of any grinding mechanism is the precise alignment of the two burrs. This is accomplished by the zassenhaus cam followers that hold the burrs in place. Another desirable feature is the adjustment of the fineness or coarseness of the grind. This grinder has an easily adjustable thumbscrew. Also, this adjuster screw is isolated from the rotation of the burrs, so your adjustment will not be changed by the grinding action. If you have any questions at all, please ask them prior to bidding and I will respond ASAP. Thanks for reading my description and happy bidding.
