(Due to circumstances beyond my control, this Tachi had to be re-listed) .... I believe this Blade to be a Tachi from the Heian period...the following is an attempt at describing the characteristics with my limited knowledge of the subject..Hopefully someone will be able to identify the origin of this Blade with what is presented..The Blade looks Shinogi Zukuri with a length of 121-cm (measurements are approximate because of the obvious condition of the blade)..T is Bo hi the length of the Blade in Katachiri ending in Kaki-nagash & Hisaki sagari at Kissaki but it hard to tell how far.. it may be Hisaki-agar..Marumune with an 8 mm Motohaba.. Sori is about 23mm .. .. after looking, for many hours through the years, at this blade I believe the Yakaba to be narrow and Hamon is similar to Sugu-hotsure-ha...t is a small spot w a polisher cleaned to determine whether it was worth a job..that is w I got my suspicions from.. Kissaki looks to be O-kissaki but with no Yokote evident, it's hard for me to determine...Nakago is approx.26-cm with Hamachi 6mm forward of Muni machi.. 4 Mekugiana are present atlthough it appears that t are 3 ... I can find no markings except Katte-chigai..(others may have better fortune)... and finally it appears to have Katayamagata but is Kirjiri by now...I can't help wondering about the mysteries this Blade holds. read more
