This lovely 1936 pattern, Orleans, was made by International Silver Company and sold under the Century name. Pieces in this pattern are becoming increasingly hard to find. This vintage set is in near mint condition and I am guessing were rarely if ever used. This complete service for 12 includes 12 (5 piece) place settings, 4 serving pieces and 9 pickle forks, 8 extra teaspoons for a total of 81 pieces. 66 pieces are marked Sterling and for some reason 15 have a different mark and are not identified as sterling yet are identical. I weighed accordingly. T are no monograms or silver removals. The pieces have been gently treated and are in excellent condition. They have all been cleaned but not polished. I hope someone buys this lovely set to use. On replacement websites, these pieces sell for more than $2,000.00 when they can be found at all. The silver weight is 93 ounces; knife handle weights are included; weight of the stainless blades at 20 grams so you might want to deduct it. I also weighed the pieces that are not marked sterling in the last photo. With "sterling" silver selling for 10.30 per Troy ounce, the scrap value alone is over 900.00. No reserve.
