From a New Orleans estate, here is a Mardi Gras krewe favor from the 2014 Elves of Oberon ball - an enameled brooch in the form of a bouquet of pansies, executed by noted New Orleans designer India Stewart - a step above what she normally produces - very pretty. Marked on reverse (as shown). Brooch has no condition issues, clasp works fine. 1.5 inches tall at tallest point. This socially prominent group is still active and only hosts a ball at which debutantes are presented during the Carnival season - no parade. These favors are never offered for sale to the general public - you have to be one of the lucky ladies at the (invitation only) ball to get one. Highly collectible and sought after. A handsome, wearable piece. No returns.
