Size: 5"x5" wt under one lb. Beautiful glass beads in the color of the ime of happiness in New Orleans. Sealed for ages, and cleaning. Long Leaf pine needles and pretty trim in the colors of times in New Orleans. Take a gift form my city home to enjoy. FOREVER GREEN FOREVER These pine needle baskets were handcrafted by Shirley B. Nichols, native of New Orleans, La., After Hurricane Katrina damaged so many long leaf pines it became real to me they were gone forever. I picked and saved needles as much as I could in a year and started making baskets. "Crafting these baskets made with 'Long Leaf Pine Needles' reminds us. As close as I can get to a figure remaining Long Leaf Trees are only a scare 19,000,000 left along southern coast. Miles and miles of pines barely hanging on to life was a sad sight. I wanted to save something to remember. My little dog and I spent hundreds of hours gathering these needles.I get great pleasure in my handcrafting these baskets.
