OrnateAntique Steel Filigree Embroidery Scissors Italian * Circa 1890 These wonderful Italian steel scissors have openwork scrolling floral designs on the shanks and bows. They are completely hand made and filed and the handwork and engraving on both sides is skillfully done. They're Italian from the famous steel making Campobasso region and date to c.1870-1890 . The blades have "BT" marked on both sides. This is the maker's mark for Bartolomeo Terzano, a well known maker of that period. They have tight blades and intact points but could use sharpening. The condition is excellent with no rust or other damage and t hey measure 4" long.
