This is a rare and lovely champagne wire cutter from the time before twist-off wire tops, marked inside each side "Champagne Mercier". This is one of the oldest and most highly regarded champagne houses established from the early 19th century who for many years had an unusually active marketing arm and this was typical of their output in that respect. It is very nicely decorated and, with a small cutting area and relatively long lever handles, enables effortless snipping of the wire cage around the cork. It is in very nice condition with light signs of use but no damage and measures 10cm in overall length. Paypal is the preferred form of payment and there is no charge for this service. Personal cheques, postal orders and bank drafts are acceptable but these may delay shipment while funds are cleared. All payments must be in UK Pounds. All goods will be very carefully packed and sent by first class post or airmail unless otherwise stated. The quoted cost of delivery includes a small allowance for packing material.
