Ornate Brass Scale Has what I can make out to be the marking: MDCV (I have shown a close-up in the pictures). The scale stands 19-1/4" high; has a 17-1/2" bar; a 10" dia. pan; and a 6" dia. base. The knob on the end of the balance bar unscrews. Was at an estate sale, but I have no idea of the age. CONDITION: The scale is in nice condition. It has the wonderful patina of aged brass. It does have some spots that have turned green with age, and some spots on the pan. The bottom appears to have been replaced somewere along the way with a piece of cardboard. The balance bar has some wear on the markings towards the middle. The pictures show the condition best, but if t is more you would like to see, don't hesitate to ask.
